Steve Kearns - Events Projects and Coaching Partner
Steve has worked in the health and fitness industry for almost two decades and has extensive experience of working with people of all ages and abilities.
He is currently working with people ranging from those training to attempt their first ever endurance event through to a number of athletes who are competing for Great Britain in triathlon or duathlon in their age groups. As an academic his current research interests are based around two areas: 1) how swimming performance influences overall triathlon performance and how to optimise this, 2) how to enhance muscular force production. Outside of his work and academic activities Steve regularly competes as an open water swimmer, runner and triathlete
"As a coach I believe that to develop better performance it is necessary to first develop good efficient movement patterns. Often this alone is enough to enhance performance as the athlete moves better and has less down-time due to injury. Once this 'training foundation' is built it is possible to build a stronger faster body."
